Just as jazz is a unique, innovative art form, biotechnological drug discovery is also a unique, industrial art. In the creation of jazz, one inspired artist provides the creative, inspirational spark that allows others in the group to join in and improvise together. At Infinity, we believe something very similar happens in drug discovery. You cannot develop new drugs by simply playing from the score. You need the brilliant insight and spark of the individual innovator -- the improviser –- and then the equally brilliant and inspired collaborative effort of the group to perfect that spark.
